Speaker Bio:
A former entrepreneur on a mission to help other entrepreneurs make their dreams a reality, Lauren Seematter-Leverette has always had a deep desire to support the underserved. As a business development officer with Gateway Bank, the only community bank in Mesa, AZ, Lauren spends her days helping entrepreneurs — many of whom have been overlooked by big banks — to start or grow their businesses through commercial lending.
Her passion for serving the community started in Oceanside, CA, where she transitioned from a student at the local Boys and Girls Club to staff. She worked her way up to become the first executive director of the club at 20 years old and launched life-changing programs, including a music recording studio and a national Gangbusters program to get kids off the streets.
Lauren continued her non-profit work in Arizona as executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of the Valley, an independent non-profit consultant, and a leader for Midwest Food Bank before joining Gateway Bank in 2019. She continues to be heavily involved in numerous organizations as an active participant, volunteer, and speaker.
When Lauren isn’t meeting with entrepreneurs and community members, you can find her playing with her three kids and three favorite instruments: guitar, piano, and violin. From money management to mom life, she’s always focused on helping those around her turn their dreams into reality.
