We recommend that small businesses with at least 2-3 years of experience join. The course is designed to equip you with the financial knowledge you need & the tools to succeed when it comes to lending.

Please note startup funding is not covered in the program.

How to Register

We know this can feel intimidating.

It is. BUT the easiest way to get through it is to do it together with direct guidance and support.

You’ve only got 8 questions to complete during registration, and 95% are just the basics like your name, email & business name.

We promise you, the hardest part is just hitting the start button. 

As a participant of our Ready.Set.Grow program, you get a self-guided approach (do the work on your time) and an a weekly office hour that tracks your progress with other entrepreneurs who are going through the same things.

If you’re ready, here is the breakdown of our application process:

Step 1: Register. This is just an informal application & we aren’t going to ask you to spend more than 5 minutes to complete it.

Step 2: Keep an eye out for your registration confirmation.  We’ll schedule a virtual Q&A to go over what you need to get started and send you all the details to begin your 4-week journey.

Is this program for startups?

While some of the financial basics we cover can be translated to a startup, this program is designed for small business owners who have been in business for at least 3 years. We do not cover preparing for venture capital, angel investing, etc. We focus on traditional lending opportunities through commercial banks.

What are the costs?

With the support of the community partners, we have made this program free for 50 small business owners to participate. *This program is free for HUUB members. Not a HUUB member? Find your city & join for free.

Who should apply?

Ready.Set.Grow is intended for business owners who are looking to improve their financial confidence. We have a heavy focus on entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds. We define representation broadly, including People of Color, Hispanic/Latino, LGBTQ+, Native American, Pacific Islander, Veteran, Military Spouses, Disabled, and more. 

Are there any prerequisites?

There are no formal prerequisites for the program. You must have access to a computer and internet, be a HUUB member, and be passionate about growing your business. *This program is free for HUUB members. Not a HUUB member? Find your city & join for free.

 

What will I leave with?

Applications close on August 29 and accepted participants will be notified on August 30. The 4-week bootcamp begins on September 3.
